The 1" slat is available in .006 or .008 gauge aluminum - lightweight, yet strong enough for everyday use.

Design Perspective
Aluminum blinds are available in a wide variety of slat sizes - we offer  a 1" economy .006 gauge slat and a more durable 1" .008 gauge slat. We don't recommend slatted blinds for rooms with small children or pets because of the risk of strangulation. Mini blinds even less so because they can be damaged a lot easier than 2" wood or faux wood blinds.

Aluminum Blinds are some of the most versatile value priced products we sell. They work great at controlling the light and for privacy. The slats can be tilted to offer some degree of privacy while still offering a view to the outside. Installation is a snap with any of these products.
