Design Perspective
Bamboo Blinds give such a unique exotic feel to any room. Because they are made of natural woods, they work in room settings from the most traditional classic styles to the casual look of any home. Bamboo blinds come with a valance which makes for a finished look all on their own or you can do a top treatment or draperies around them. Light filters through the wood material or you can do a privacy liner which blocks out some of the light and gives you total privacy if needed.

Function & Installation Perspective
Bamboo blinds work well on french doors because they lay close to the door (best for privacy) and don't swing around too much while the door is being opened and closed. They come standard with their own matching valance and when raised have the look of a custom top treatment on your window. You can order them as light filtering which is great for open areas of the home or with the privacy liner for bedrooms or anywhere else that privacy or less light is required. Remember to order the cord lock controls to be located on the hinged side of all french doors so as not to be in the way when opening and closing your doors.

Bamboo shades are very easy to install. They come with a wooden headrail that has holes pre-drilled through it so the threaded stud on the bracket can slip through the hole and be attached with a simple wing-nut. Installation time is about one minute per window with most windows only needing two brackets.
