Energy Efficient Skylight Window Shades

Skylight Window Shades
Comfortex® Skylight Shades are made using insulating Energy Smart Cellular Fabrics that filter and help decrease the intensity of summer sun.
The sidetracks of either style skylight shade close gaps around the window and stop heat from seeping inside.

Soprano™ Cellular Skylight Shades by Comfortex Window Fashions®

Soprano™ skylight shades are your ideal choice for all your skylight windows. The Soprano™ employs a hidden tension gear track system that is durable and long lasting, as there are no cords to break. The gear track holds (locks) the fabric at any angle and can be opened to any position you desire by simply moving the handle on the moveable rail or using a skylight pole for inaccessible windows

The Function & Installation Perspective
Generally skylight shades come with a small ring attached to the intermediate bottom rail and you control it by pulling up or down on that ring. For windows that are out of reach we offer extension poles with a hook attached to the end that hooks onto the ring for ease of operation.

Installing a skylight shade is not as difficult as one may think. Basically they are just like a standard rectangular shade with a headrail at top. The difference is skylight shades have two additional rails, one is an intermediate rail that's used for lifting and lowering the shade and the other rail is used to attach shade at the bottom (opposite end of main headrail). This is so the shade can be fastened at both ends. The shade is generally pulled taunt in the sky light opening by use of adjustable cables in place of the standard lift cords. Generally, most shades will have two brackets at each end for a total of 4 brackets.
