Cordless Natural Woven Wood Shades

Every year approximately 10 to 12 children are strangled by blind cords. As a result, the industry has been under pressure to make their products safe for small children and pets. In 2011 the Window Covering Safety Council adopted a revised list of safety standards that all manufacturers of corded blinds and shades must follow.

B&W Window Fashions embraced the new regulations and then set about exceeding established safety standards. To that end they invented the Cordless-One lift system for their Horizon Natural Shades collection.

The Cordless-One lift system is a durable, easy-to-use technology that offers a clean design by eliminating unsightly lift cords. With the Cordless-One lift system you can raise and lower the shade with a gentle tug of the concealed ring-pull located on the bottom of the shade.

To make the Cordless-One even safer for small children and pets, B&W created a safety sleeve to conceal the exposed inner cords thereby completely eliminating the risk of strangulation.

The Cordless ONE control is available as an optional upgrade (with surcharge unless on sale), with classic and hobbled style natural roman shades.

Classic Roman Style

When opened, the shade hangs flat from the back of the headrail. When raised, the shade will stack in soft roman folds. The shade's hardware is concealed by a 6" valance made from the same woven wood pattern.

Hobbled Roman Style

The Soft Roman or Hobbled Style Bamboo Roman Shade retains elegant soft roman folds even when lowered. To conceal the shade's hardware a 6" Classic Valance made from the same material is included at no charge.
