Although the color scans on this web site were scanned with a very high quality scanner not all computer monitors are the same and do not necessarily display colors the same way. It is recommended that you have your video resolution adjusted to 800 x 600 or greater and your color depth set to 16 bit (high color) or 32 bit (true color). Most modern computers are capable of displaying 16.7 million colors at one time in 32 bit mode.

If an exact color match is required request a sample - if samples are available for the product you are interested in please request a swatch. Note: No refund or product exchanges will be offered over color related complaints unless a swatch sample is ordered in advance.

Wood Blinds
It is considered normal for wood to take stain differently. A difference in color across the grain is normal. If you are planning to order blinds for your whole house we recommend ordering them all at one time. Your order will be filled using slats from the same batch. If you order the same color at a later date it is very likely that it will come from a different dye-lot and will not match exactly. We do not guarantee color matching a previous order.

It is also normal for painted (white) slats to vary slightly in shade from one batch to the next. We cannot guarantee an exact match if you order blinds at separate times.

If you must order blinds at different times we recommend doing so by room. Order all the blinds that are going in the same room at the same time.

Cellular & Sheer Shades
Cellular Shades / Sheer Shades will also vary slightly in color from one dye lot to the next. If you must order shades at different times we recommend doing so by room. Order all the shades that are going in the same room at the same time.

Bamboo Natural Woven Woods
All woven wood shades and hand woven shades are carefully created and finished to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the grain and texture. Due to the nature of slats and cords, colors are subject to to color variations. We cannot guarantee exact match from shade to shade. We will attempt to make such matches as close as possible, and natural variations to make exact matches will be impossible from lot to lot.

  • Color Variation
Both paint and stain on natural slats are subject to variation. Reed and wood slats will retain the unique grain and color irregularities inherent from natural woods, water reeds, and grasses.

  • Yarns
A wide array of natural and man-made fibers are used in the making of yarns for woven woods. Pure, bright colors are achieved by using the finest dyes available. Even so, over a period of time slight fading may occur on the exterior side of the shade or lining, depending on the amount of sunlight the the fabric is exposed to. The interior side of the fabric is protected from fading by the slats, but will occur after a long period of time.

  • Fading
After a long period of time, exterior and interior discoloration will occur. The colors will become more yellow after exposed to the strong sun light.

Norman Shutters

NOTE: At this time we do not have a sample program for Norman Shutters. While I have done my best to scan the colors as accurately as possible I can tell you that colors like these appear differently from one monitor type to another and can vary based on resolution setting and color depth setting.

As a result, if you do not have access to samples for Norman Shutters and color matching is a priority - DO NOT ORDER. If you order based on how the thumbnails appear on your monitor - you WILL NOT and CANNOT receive a refund if you are not happy with the color choice once the shutters arrive. Custom shutters are labor intensive and raw materials are cut to your specifications. Unless you receive the wrong color (order white receive bisque) your shutters CANNOT be returned, refunded or replaced for any reason other than warranty repair and service.
