Roman Style (Standard)
- No Additional Charge Simple and elegant, the Roman Fold is our most popular style. The shade hangs off the back of the headrail and raises in soft folds. When lowered completely, the material hangs flat. A standard 6-inch valance hangs off the front of the headrail concealing the shade’s hardware. • Minimum Width: 8" • Maximum Width: 96" • Minimum Height: 12" • Maximum Height: 192" 
Top Down / Bottom Up
+ Surcharge Also known as a Duo-Fold Shade, this popular variation of a Roman Shade can be raised from the bottom or lowered from the top. A standard 6-inch valance hangs off the front of the headrail concealing the shade’s hardware. • Minimum Width: 12" • Maximum Width: 72" • Minimum Height: 12" • Maximum Height: 120" • Pull Cords: Right (Lowers Top) - Left (Raises Bottom) 
UpRight Clutch lift System -+ Surcharge
The cord loop makes it easy to raise and lower larger shades. The continuous chain eliminates dangling cords.  Cord/Chain Tie Down
Shades utilizing the UpRight Lift System are supplied with a cord/chain tie down that eliminates the loop's hazards.  Chain Loop
The available chain colors are Black, Antique Brown, Brass Plated, White, and Beige. The chain is approx. 1/2 the length of the shade.  Contempo Cornice -+ SurchargeThe Contempo Cornice (otherwise known as a Scalloped Valance) is a stylish alternative to the standard valance. When a Contempo Cornice™ is ordered with a shade it is already attached to the shade’s headrail and requires no additional installation.

A great way to accentuate the standard valance and an effective method of enhancing the folds on a Hobbled Valance when the pattern would have a tendency to hang flat

Available in privacy or blackout - with a neutral appearance to the outside.
B&W offers a wide variety of shade styles and popular upgrades to choose from. Not all upgrades are compatible with all shade styles and a few upgrades require a deeper sill depth for a flush inside mount. Please take the time to read the considerable information we've provided to help you do the job right.
Installation brackets & options
NY BracketsRecommended for most standard inside or outside mount installations. Supplied standard unless otherwise specified. Bracket height is 1 1/2”. 
Extended NY BracketsExtends the shade a full 2” out from the wall. Used only in extreme circumstances to avoid obstacles like large door handles. Bracket height is 1 1/2”. 
"L" BracketThis bracket is standard for Duo-Fold Shades narrower than 16”. Used as an alternative to the New York bracket for OUTSIDE MOUNT ONLY. Bracket height is 1 1/2”. 
2" Screw (Standard for UpRight)A quick easy alternative for INSIDE MOUNT ONLY -- a screw inserted through the headrail and into the window frame. 
Hold-Down BracketsHold Down Brackets (Outside Mount Only) are used to secure the bottom of the shade and are most commonly used when a shade is mounted on a door. 
Turned HeadrailA “Turned Headrail” makes the headrail’s depth 3/4” and the height 1-1/2”. This is most commonly used in cases of limited mounting depth. Note about Contempo cornices
Scale & Proportions
All of the Contempo Cornice™ patterns have been scaled to appear proportionate at any width (an example of this can be seen in the pictures above). The total height (8” tall) is consistent across all widths. The short point of the pattern will vary due to the scaling.   Headrail Dimensions & Mounting Requirements

Note: The factory will deduct 1/2" from the width of shades for inside mount - this includes the valance.
Stacking Information
stacking Height / Valance Drop
NOTES:The stacking height is the thickness of the shade when fully raised. The valance drop is the length of fabric that hangs from the headrail. It is possible to have a valance drop that exceeds the shade's stacking height. If you want to hide the shade beneath the valance order a valance whose length is greater than the stacking height. If you want to have an unobstructed view measure for an outside mount and then add whatever is greater (stacking height or valance drop) to your overall height. During shipment the fabric may shift slightly and may cause a slight shortening in the length or possibly in slightly uneven edges. To Fix Length: If, after installation, the shade becomes slightly shorter than originally ordered, gently grasp the bottom of the shade and pull down carefully to stretch the shade. To Fix Uneven Edges: Lightly tap the edges of the shade with a flat surface, such as a ruler, until the edges are even
